The Widows Choice
This is Winslow #39.
I couldn't find Alona on the family tree to see where she fit into the family, and that's the first time that's happened. So I did miss understanding a connection.
This book is right before WWII, and people are still feeling a lot of depression era limitations and struggling. Alona's family definitely does especially after loosing her husband. I felt bad for the choice she had to make and wished Oscar had turned out to be nicer.
