I have a hard time putting Karen Kingsbury books down until I'm done reading! This was a similar experience :) Although this was a good book, and had great exploration into the family, I didn't enjoy it as much as some of her others. I think it took too long for happiness to find everyone and that was distressing me. I liked the Michigan home because I'd been to many of the places mentioned (I still have a rock from Petoskey from my Uncle somewhere) As the oldest, I did relate to Ellen in some of the situations with the siblings. A good book, just not my favorite!
