This is the first book in the Dakotah Treasures series. Ruby and Opal move to a new town because their father contacts them finally. They don't quite expect what they get. I enjoyed this. I'm glad that it's part of a whole series because I'm excited to see where they will go next.

WONDERFUL book. The principles in the intro are something that I felt made perfect sense and I can't wait to put them to practice. I would like to work on one of these patterns, but I think I need just a little more practice before I take on a sweater or something else from this book. My very FAVORITE is the Mimosa, a fabulous shawl. This is one I'd like to own.

A Slender Thread

This was an excellent book. I'd have to call this my favorite of Tracie's so far. Even though I cried, I fell in love with these sisters and their family, and their strengths even though they thought they were weak. I would definitely read this one again. At first, I thought it was a little hoakie to name the daughters alphabetically (Ashley, Brook, Connie, Dierdre, and Erica), but then I understood how things were with their mother, and it made more sense, it wasn't just the author being silly to help us keep them in order. This is a standalone novel, not part of a series.
