Drying flowers

Comments

I have a silly question. Why do you dry flowers? Are they useful afterwards? Also, how long do they stay for after they are already dry?

Found you in mu's neighborhood.
Reesie, thanks for visiting! It's a nice way to keep a bridal bouquet after the wedding. I dried my flowers from my wedding (so they are still good after 6 years) and they are hanging on the wall in my bedroom. So in case my sister wants to do the same, I'm trying to try hers. She has kept a lot of the flowers her now-husband gave them while they were dating, so I think these would be a nice additional to her pile!

Basically, once they are dry, they'll stay around for a long time - as long as you don't move them around too much after they've been dried, that seems to make them more crumbly, and you can more easily loose leaves that way.
