Knitting fearlessly

That really is a good question. You have done so much self teaching that you always seem utterly fearless. I guess fear can be a good thing to be aware of your own thoughts. I want to learn and now I'm looking at my fears. The big one is I can't master the needed skills. Guess I won't know unless I try.
How do you do socks on two needles? I'd love to be able to do sleeves this way.
You are so smart, you can do anything you put your mind to, I'm *sure* of it!

As for knitting, I think that the more I practice, the better I am. :) One of the ladies in my knitting group said something about how fast I grew my skills in the last year, but really, it was because I spent a lot of time working on it, and not being afraid to rip i out and try again.
There is at least one book out there for doing a sock on two circs (but the one I checked out wasn't as easy to read as I would hope), but I haven't found a super resource yet for TWO socks on two circular needles. Some of the things I have found so far... Knit Picks had a podcast a while ago that I relistened to this week about circular knitting and a lot of alternatives (podcast 25). I think she mentions that it's easy to do this for anything, including sleeves of a sweater (or maybe that was in one of her blog posts). There's a tutorial for one sock on two circs on Silver's site, and that looks extremely helpful (her writing style is easy to understand, she's a blogger of many years)

So far, I like the idea of 2 circs better than Magic Loop, because the idea of rearranging stitches on a single circular needle seems fussy. With 2 circs, you keep half on one and half on the other, and so there's less rearranging, it seems.
