The oldest thing I own
What's the oldest thing you own? Where did you get it from? Significance?
I have a book that my uncle gave me that was printed in 1912. It's the Three Little Bears and it's definitely old looking. We don't know where he found it, but I've had it since I was young (but not too young that I would have hurt it!).
My oldest sentimental things are my grandma's cake pans - she most of them before I was born. I used one of them for Leah's first birthday cake even and I knew she would have been happy to see that if she were here.
My oldest personal thing (besides my baby book) is my doll, Jenny, that I got when I was 2. She was my best friend, and my brother had a Mikey and they were always with us when we were little! (She's a My Friend Jenny doll)
I went and pulled the book off the shelf and the doll out of the closet to pose for a quick picture on the couch :P Now don't laugh at me, really :D

I love the cake pan story, and that cake is incredible! How did you make the teddy bear?
:) It's actually two pieces of a cake pan that clip together shaped like a bear. You can see the whole process from start to finish in the beginning of this photo album! hee hee!
I used to have a My Friend Jenny doll like that, although eventually we gave it to a charity for kids with disabilities. That picture brings back a lot of memories for me! I also had a Becky doll, as did my younger sister, and she had a Mandy doll too. These were also given to the charity.
We loved to dress them up and my mom made a number of outfits for them.
Love the doll. But, I won't laugh at you...I still sleep with the stuffed dog my mom bought me for my 4th birthday. Heh - now you don't laugh at me! :)
